On a Singular Perturbation Problem for Rotating Magnetic Fluids

As a singular counterpart to the Newton and Plateau equilibrium figures of rotating stars or drops, respectively, we investigate magnetic drops rotating in weakly nonhomogeneous fields. Existence and uniqueness of a familyof equilibrium figures near to the sphere is established.
