On Massless Fields with Arbitrary Spin

A gauge field theory is proposed for symmetric spinor fields of valence $(n+1,0)$ on a flat spacetime which generalizes the Maxwell theory of electromagnetism. Further we study first-order equations for symmetric spinor fields of valence $(1,n)$ which are consistent in arbitrarily curved spacetimes, conformally and gauge invariant and whose solutions satisfy the equations for the potentials of massless fields in flat spacetimes.
